Interior Condition Requires Specialist Intervention

BRUMAR Yacht Care was created to fill a gap onboard yachts: when interior condition matters, routine cleaning is not enough.

During handovers, inspections, owner arrivals and yard periods, textiles and sensitive surfaces require controlled treatment not aggressive cleaning. Incorrect methods can permanently damage fibres, cause shrinkage, watermarking or colour loss.

We specialise in intervention care: low-moisture, material-specific processes designed to restore appearance while preserving structure. Work is carried out alongside crew operations with minimal disruption and clear communication.

Every project starts with assessment and test-patch verification, ensuring predictable and safe results on delicate materials such as Nu-Silk carpets, fine upholstery and specialty fabrics.

Operating from the Netherlands and working internationally, BRUMAR supports captains, chief stews and technical teams as a reliable specialist partner when interior standards must be met without risk.

About Image

Interior condition correction for yachts

BRUMAR is called when interior materials require corrective treatment rather than routine cleaning.

We address fibre distortion, traffic shading, staining, watermarks and condition loss on carpets, upholstery and delicate textiles using controlled low-moisture processes.

All work is planned around vessel operations and carried out safely onboard during handovers, inspections and refit periods.

Each project starts with material identification and test-patch verification to determine the correct method and drying behaviour before full treatment.

The objective is predictable results without operational disruption or material risk.

When interior condition must be corrected safely

Specialist intervention service for yachts during handovers, inspections and refit periods.

Controlled Interior Correction
Material-specific treatment for carpets, upholstery and delicate textiles. Each project begins with fibre identification and test-patch verification to determine safe moisture levels and drying behaviour. The objective is correction of condition not routine cleaning.
Operationally Safe Onboard Work
Work performed alongside crew operations without removing areas from service. Quiet equipment, controlled drying and clear communication allow cabins to remain operational during treatment.
Interior Condition Restoration
Targeted correction of wear, staining and fibre distortion using material-specific methods. Inspection-led process, controlled moisture levels and predictable drying behaviour to restore appearance without risk.
Delicate Textile Treatment
Low-moisture treatment for upholstery, headboards and fine fabrics. Test-patch verification and fibre-safe chemistry prevent shrinkage, watermarking and colour transfer.

Specialist Treatment Areas

Targeted material correction across interior zones — applied where condition risk exists.

Carpet Condition Correction
Fibre-safe stain reduction, pile lifting and colour recovery using inspection-led low-moisture processes.
Drapery Stabilisation Treatment
In-situ treatment preventing shrinkage, watermarking and distortion on delicate hanging fabrics.
Mattress Hygienic Reset
Odour source removal and internal moisture balance restoration with controlled drying behaviour.
Wet Areas & Exterior Materials
Supporting treatment for sanitary spaces and teak where interior condition work is scheduled.

When is specialist treatment required instead of crew cleaning?

Specialist treatment is required when appearance or material stability is at risk for example staining, fibre distortion, odour retention, watermarking or colour transfer. Routine cleaning maintains hygiene; we restore condition.

Is the yacht operational during treatment?

Yes. Our processes are designed for live onboard conditions using controlled moisture and monitored drying behaviour. Cabins remain usable in sequence.

Do you test fabrics before working?

Always. Every project starts with material identification and a test-patch verification to determine the safe method before full treatment.

What materials do you specialise in?

Nu-Silk carpets, fine upholstery, headboards, mattresses, and delicate drapery fabrics commonly found on modern yachts and high-end interiors.

Will this remove odours permanently?

We treat the source inside the material structure rather than masking. Results depend on contamination depth, but in most cases odours are neutralised rather than temporarily covered.

Do you replace or repair materials?

No. We are a preservation specialist. Our role is to restore condition and prevent replacement where possible.

How do you coordinate with crew?

Work is planned cabin-by-cabin with clear communication to minimise disruption to guest or operational schedules.
